MG MGF Technical - wiper blade failure[continued]
After booking the car into a local mg specialist to fix a new wiper linkage mechanism, they reported ,after a day and a half of deliberations ,that Rover had no spare parts left in the country and it may be two months or more before they could fix the fault. A quick call to Brown and Gammons ,who they claim to never have heard of, seems to havesolved the problem by offering a second hand linkage for £60 plus vat andP&P. Have Rover really run out of these parts ? May be thousands of Fs needed replacements?Any comments? |

Your not alone. I'm waiting for a wiper motor already for 4 weeks now. Caterpillar, the new service stock company seams to be very interested dropping sales of MGR. I know of a famous german mining company (coal) owning about 300 Land Rover. They suffer from missing spares (brake disks etc) and about 90 (ninety !!) of the Land Rovers are standing around !! Very nice kind of driving car sales and Service. Dieter |
